For Students
General reminders and updates:
-
If your student is not feeling well, please keep them home. As with any absence, please notify the nurse’s office of the absence.
- Students are required to report any positive test results to the school nurse. To report testing positive for COVID, and exposure, or COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your school nurse at FPBS 516-434-2766 or via email at FPBSnurse@fpbsd.org or at JLCS at 516-434-2796 or via email at JLCSnurse@fpbsd.org.
- If a student tests positive for COVID-19, they should isolate for five days or until they are fever free without fever-reducing medicine for 24 hours with symptoms improving. When the student returns to school, it will be recommended that they wear a mask through day 10.
- Test kits are available in each school’s nurse’s office.
We will continue to monitor any updates from the Department of Health and notify the community of these changes.
